With Love

Hello!  It's the first day of designer sneak peeks for Shady Tree Studio images and I have a super simple project to share.

With Love

This project couldn't be more understated and simple.  I stamped the hearts from Bouquets and Butterflies stamp set with Black Soot Distress ink and embossed.  Each heart was trimmed and stitched to the card base - a lacy doily and textured cardstock.

Here's a view from the side to show you the level of dimension.

I plan to make a stack of these to share for those I love all year long, maybe with different colored hearts (just for fun!).

I'll have more projects to share.
Thanks for visiting,
lise

Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. There are no sponsors for the designers in December, so we all had a bunch of fun creating!

Snow Flurries

This project couldn't be more simple. It's really all about the rhinestones and crystalline snowflakes here!

I hope you'll stop by the CPS blog for more designer inspiration and for information on how to join in the fun!

Thanks,
lisa

Exciting News!!!

Hello!  I wanted to share with you some exciting news!!

I've been asked to join the Shady Tree Studio's Design Team!  You can read the announcement HERE.  I worked with Nancy, owner and illustrator for STS, when her line was marketed and sold through Cornish Heritage Farms.  It's great to work with her again and her amazing team.

Be on the watch for the newest release (just around the corner) and potentially some blog candy.  I've not done a great deal of blog giveaways in the past, but I'll have something for you soon to celebrate!

Thanks a million for visiting!

CPS Sketch # 195 - The {Stamps} of Life... Take 2!

Hello! I'm back to share a second design for this week's CPS Sketch! This week our sponsor is the {Stamps} of Life! I really couldn't wait to create with this second stamp set (Holly4Christmas)... it's amazing in every way.  I love the font for the sentiments, the images, everything!

Holly Jolly Christmas

I split the sentiment on my main panel (carefully inking - and covering the part I didn't want to be inked with cellophane tape).  I embossed and then colored with Copic markers.  The strand of lights was embossed, colored and carefully trimmed to adhere to the front of my card.

The holly leaves were pieced with some of the (perfectly themed - if I do say so myself) patterned paper and used as an embellishment.

CPS Sketch # 195 - The {Stamps} of Life

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project!  This week our sponsor is the {Stamps} of Life!  I just adore the images available from the {Stamps} of Life... be sure to check them out!

I created two projects this week for the sketch and sponsor - the first posted today.

Earthy Trees

My first project is all about paper piecing.  I love this technique.  It's a great way to incorporate color and continuity in a design.  The birds were stamped and colored, popped up on the tree.

I'll be back tomorrow with my second design with this sketch.

All Stamping Tech Challenge

Hello!  I'm excited to be participating in the All Stamping Tech Challenge with Technique Tuesday this month, as a guest designer!  This month's challenge was a color combo challenge:

Here's my take on the combo.

It's a relatively simple card... and all about the colors.  I stamped and embossed the sun (twice - on light and dark yellos) and the clouds.  I carefully trimmed the images and popped up on the card base...  simple stuff.

I'd love it if you stopped by the Technique Tuesday forum for all the details and to check out the other designers' projects for more inspiration -- COLOR CHALLENGE THREAD.

Technique Tuesday Guest Stamping Tech

Hello everyone!  I couldn't be more proud... I'm one of the Technique Tuesday Guest Stamping Techs for November!

I thought I'd share the projects I created for them here, as well as the links to all the chat.

First, the links:

Meet November's Guest Stamping Techs
Check out Lisa Silver's amazing TT projects! (that's the thread title, not me beefing!)

And now, the projects:
You're a Hoot

This project was created with lots of patterned paper. I created a free-form tree from a great green patterned paper (Lemonade by Basic Grey) and stamped the branch in a couple different ways to make it seem like part of one big tree. I thought it would be fun to stack my owls... a real HOOT!!!

Just A Note

For this project, I thought it would be fun to create a dimensional vase with some "real" roses. My vase was stamped twice, first on the main panel and then again on a second piece of cardstock (which was carefully trimmed). The top vase was popped up on the main panel and coated with a layer of Glossy Accents to give a little realism.

Tomorrow

This project was just fun! I had this in mind the minute I saw this stamp set... it's all about the images. One little detail that's not easily seen (unless you have the card in hand) is that I made a duplicate of the umbrella and scored to resemble a real umbrella.

Memories

This project was all about dimension! I stamped the Daisy several times, carefully trimmed each and layered one on top of the other to create a large, dimesional flower. I added a few leaves to the side to give a bit of balance. The ribbon on the card is gathered seam binding... just a little thread pulled through gives a great ruffle.
