So, what are some of your favorite things? Sunny days, walks on the beach, hugs from my favorite people, a yummy dinner out, and new stamp supplies are just a few of mine! It's time for another CPS Sketch and this week is sponsored by My Favorite Things.
Birthday Girl
I just loved this girl. I think the set was really designed to have her holding an enormous birthday cake, but I thought it would be fun to paper-piece the stack as wrapped gifts. I used a thin silk ribbon to tie into the wider silk ribbon in the lower section. The shabby-kraft paper from My Mind's Eye (called Life Stories) seemed just right for this very elegant lady.
I hope you'll stop by the CPS blog to see more designer inspiration. Join us on the sketch and you could be the winner of a MFT prize pack.
Thanks for visiting!

CPS Sketch # 163 - The Cat's Pajamas
I just LOVE that name... The Cat's Pajamas. I always say "the cat's meow", but I think I'll be switching it up! So, why all the rhapsody about a great company name? Well, it's time for another CPS sketch, sponsored by The Cat's Pajamas. And the stamps are SO stinkin' cute!
Hey Honey!
I really had a hard time picking one image to use for this project. The stamp set is called Hearts and Flowers. Orange is my all-time favorite color! I found the Joy Ride collection the perfect pairing with the whimsical element of the image and the fun, bright colors it seemed to call for. I colored the sweet image with copic markers to match the paper choice.

Paper Carnations, Rainbows and Facebook
What a mass of seemingly unrelated items in that title, huh? It all makes sense (in a crazy way) to me. Hah!
I love that Spring is here... finally. Finally! I don't like to be cold, so the last week of gorgeous 85+ F weather in St. Louis has been amazing!
I have a fun project to share with you that is a quick shout out to Spring.
Hope Blooms...
If you are interested in how to recreate this fun embellishment, please stop by the CHF Forums. And I use a surprise secret ingredient... nope, I can't spill here. Check out the technique for more info. ;-)
And not to be outdone, the real Mother Nature gave us a little show last night. A quick storm passed through, giving us a beautiful double rainbow. The second rainbow was so faint, but oh so lovely!
And why do I mention Facebook? Ah... well, that's the beauty of my Seinfeld-mind... Cornish Heritage Farms has a fan page on Facebook. Be sure to join us! You can find our fan page HERE. See how it all relates? Spring, flowers, CHF... it's a happy circle!

CPS Sketch # 162 - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
It's time for another CPS Sketch project. This week's sponsor is Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I just fell in LOVE with these images... I have a feeling I'll be doing a LOT of shopping in the coming weeks. Hah!
Fairytale
I really loved this week's sketch and thought I'd have a bit of fun with it. I used some loopy brads to create a lacing along the side of the card, filling in for the three dot elements. I colored my princess with Copic markers and added a bit of ivory Flower Soft to the edge of her dress. The card is fairly monochromatic, but I just couldn't see this princess in anything other than pink. Hah!
Thanks for visiting! Be sure to visit the CPS blog for more designer inspiration and a chance to win a Kraftin' Kimmie prize pack!

CPS Sketch # 161 - Hero Arts
How about another CPS Sketch project? This week's sponsor is Hero Arts Stamps. Play along with the challenge and you can win a fabulous prize pack of goodies!
Let's Catch Up!
This is the kind of card I need to have on hand ALL the time... and send! I love the idea of a fun card like this.
My fun little twist on this card was to use a dotted S.E.I. paper. Doesn't it remind you of a bubbly water? And I used Smooch paints on the fish to give their scales a shimmer. All the fish were stamped, colored, painted, fussy cut and are floating above the dotted layer. Page pebbles on the side help the bubble theme.
Be sure to stop by the CPS blog to see more great designs and to put your project in the running for the prize.
Thanks for visiting! It was great catching up with you!

Quilting with Paper is Moxie Fab!
I was inspired to put together a really fast and fun project when I realized I'd yet to crack into my new Material Girl paper by Cosmo Cricket. And then (you can hear me singing that part, right?)... and then, I realized my card will also be perfect for inclusion in the Moxie Fab challenge this week - Picking Up the Pieces. Oh how I love when things work like that!
Cute as a Button!
The paper was all pieced together and sewn to resemble a lovely old, family quilt.
I couldn't resist adding a few sewing details to the project to tie the theme together.
If you'd like the step by step details on how to recreate this project, please stop by the CHF forum for my Paper Quilting technique.

April CHF Stamp of the Month
It's the beginning of a new month (!!!), so that means the latest stamp of the month is available from Cornish Heritage Farms called Fawn in the Grove. It's always a fantastic deal! This month, I created the sample card.

Should you purchase this stamp (either on cling mount or on a traditional wooden block), you'll receive the directions to recreate my card. I really kept the card simple, using inks to watercolor. I just fell in love with the image... isn't this little fawn sweet?
