Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge - Beautiful Borders

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card with Beautiful Borders.  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Thankful

My project looks deceptively simple, doesn't it?  I thought I'd make the Triple Stripe Strip border image (E-686) the main player.  I stamped the border three times, twice in brown pigment ink and once with pink pigment ink, embossing with clear powder and setting.  I carefully trimmed and layered on my cardfront.  I used my fingernail to gently tip the edges up to give the card extra dimension.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 232 - The {Stamps} of Life

Hello!  It's time for another CPS sketch project.  This week's sponsor is The {Stamps} of Life by Stephanie Barnard.  The images are just ADORABLE!!!  Honestly!  I love to use their stamps - always a perfect, crisp image and loads of cuteness.

Just A Note

I created this project quickly with some favorite patterned paper sitting on my desk and the lovely Monogram2Build stamp set.  Super fast and simple.

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge - Four-Legged Friends

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card that has a four-legged friend.  With all the fun creatures to choose from, it was a tough call... but I had to go with the darling frogs.  I just LOVE them!!  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Best Friends

Aren't Bianca + Bob darling?  He's clearly smitten!

I stamped Bianca + Bob (E-1178) with Black Soot Distress ink and embossed with clear powder.  I carefully colored with copic markers to match my pretty Lily Bee paper.  I even added freckles!  The best part about this image is all the potential to add some fun!  I gave Biance a brilliant crystal necklace, some glitter eyeshadow and nails and both have Glass Effects on their eyes.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 231 - My Favorite Things

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things!  I'm a huge fan of MFT's images and love stamping with them no matter what the project.
Love You

I love the dies that accompany the You Move Me set.  The small images would not be easily trimmed, so the dies are just that perfect.

Here's a quick tip... I wanted to have a mat for my central image.  Since it's a singular die, I placed the die on my colored cardstock and traced the exterior with a pencil.  After carefully trimming with my precision scissors, I had a slightly larger version of my bracket-edged box and a perfect mat.  Voila!

OK... another quick tip... I wanted to connect more than one of the rocket's trail, to make an extra long trail.  Don't hesitate to move your clear stamp around a bit on your acrylic block until you have the shape you want.  I bent it a bit so it would all fit on my white banner on the bottom.

Enough yakking from me...

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge - Summer Theme

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card with the beach or summer in mind. I hope you'll create along with us this week!

The Best Time

Oh how I love Summer!!!  The warm weather makes me happy.  And in St. Louis, we're guaranteed to have hot summers.

I created my card with the Palm Tree Sq. Lg. (E-830) image.  I stamped on cardstock and colored with copic markers.  I used a little Watermelon Gazpacho Soup paper by Jillibean too... and the orange color (my favorite color, by the way) was perfect for my Summer sunset!  A little Holo Iridescent Glitter Liner by Viva rounds out the design.  Super sizzling!

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 230 - Flower Soft

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is Flower Soft.  I just love that new colors are always making it into the Flower Soft line-up.

Celebrate

I used four different colors of Flowersoft to "color" the snowman image.  Isn't that fun?!  Because I wanted to ensure I could still see the lines of my image, I kept the glue more to the center.  I also used a toothpick to clear the lines.

Thanks for visiting,

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge - Lovely Lace

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card with the Lovely Lace theme.  Who doesn't love lace?  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Sparkle Lace
I just adore the Sparkle Design (K-822) image.  When I saw it's intricate design, I knew it would make a perfect lace on my cardstock.  I stamped the image with white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  After carefully trimming, I added it to a cardfront like I would a lace doily.  Here's a close-up of the frame.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

Celebrate

Hello!  I have another Shady Tree Studio project to share with you today.

Celebrate

I love the Just Believe stamp set for holiday cards.  It's been one of my go-to sets each year since Nancy designed it.  The Homespun Holiday set is the perfect companion to Just Believe.
I stamped the vine to create a frame for my snowman on kraft cardstock.  I used Distress inks and Snow Cap pigment inks to watercolor the image.  To give the eyes, buttons and the berries of the vines some texture, I added a bit of liquid pearl pens (Viva Decor).  Super simple!

Lisa

CPS Sketch # 229 - Clearsnap

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is Clearsnap!!!!  I'm really excited to be creating with a new release from CHA called their Mix'd Media Inx.  They are luscious pigment inks that have such amazing color.  I can't wait until they expand the line to include other colors (and if that's not already in the works... I'm going to beg!).
Lacey

I did a lot of stamping on this project, since I really wanted to give those new inks a spin!  I stamped and embossed all the images for added shine and elegance on the card.

Thanks for stopping by,
lise

Outlines Rubber Stamps Challenge - Inspiration Picture

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card from this inspiration picture.
Isn't this lovely?  I'd love to tell you that this is a picture from my home, but my style is a little more eclectic... a little more teenager and less elegance.  You know what I mean, right?  Anyway, I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Elegance

This card was so simple to create!  I really love that the inspiration image not only gave the color palette but a little of the layout.  I stamped the Ellason Background (J-986) on light green cardstock with a white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I embellished the card with white flowers, a white painted frame and white silk ribbon.  It's all elegance!
I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!
