Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 13

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  This week our challenge is to create an Easter card.  What fun!

Happy Happy Easter!

Single layer cards aren't my usual design style, but I really wanted the image to stand front and central!  I stamped with Black Soot ink and embossed the Sketchy Bunny image (on sale right now for 20% off) on my card front.  I colored with Copic markers and added a bit of Blossom Soup (Jillibean Soup patterned paper) as added interest to my card.

To give my flowers (and bunny tail) a little shimmer, I added several colors of Viva Pearl pens - and they were all a perfect match!!!  In fact, I added dots of Lilac Viva Pearl pen along the edge of the patterned paper... just because I like it. :-)

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration:

Beauty

Hello!  I have a new project using Floral Occasions by Shady Tree Studio to share with you today.  I just LOVE this set!!!

Beauty

I just love the Iris image of this set.  It reminds me of my grandma... oh, how I miss her.  My grandma used to have irises along the fence in her backyard at their house on Aintree.  I loved that house with it's huge backyard.  The rows of irises would tilt their lovely faces to the sun and dance in the wind.

I colored this iris with Copic markers and very simply mounted on matching amethyst cardstock.  I used a Provo Craft embossing folder to give my cardbase texture.

Is anyone else ready for Spring?  My hand's raised!!!
Thanks for visiting and letting me share today!

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 12

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  This week our challenge is to create a card in a Spring theme.  I don't know about you, but I am SO ready for Spring, warmer weather, and flowers emerging.

JOY

I just adore the Sparkle Wheelbarrow image!  The abundance of flowers just shout Spring to me!  And coloring this image was a LOT of fun.  I used the new Jillibean Soup Blossom Soup paper as my inspiration and basis for my colors.

TIP: What I like to do when I purchase a new pack of paper is look through my Copic markers to match the colors to the patterns in the paper.  I list all the matching colors on a sticky-back notepad and stick right to the paper pack.  I save time when I create each time with that particular patterned paper.
To give my flowers a little shimmer, I added several colors of Viva Pearl pens - and they were all a perfect match!!!  I used a Maya Road kraft envelope and a fun paperclip to round out the design.

He Is Risen

Hello!  I have another project using Eastertide from Shady Tree Studio today.  I've been having a lot of fun with this set.

He Is Risen

This project uses a sentiment for the main image.  With a little bit of beautiful patterned paper and a Spellbinder's diecut, I've transformed the simple and humble words into a focal point.

Thanks for visiting and letting me share today!

CPS Sketch # 209 - Flower Soft

Hello!  I have a new CPS project to share with you today.  This week's sponsor is Flower Soft.

Happy Birthday

I had a little bit of fun with my Flower Soft this week.  I opted to stamp the (AWESOME) sentiment from the words2color stamp set from The {Stamps} of Life and rather than color the words, as suggested, I filled with glue and sprinkled with Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft.  It's such a cool look!!!  I finished the card with a handmade denim rosette... ripping old jeans is SO satifying!

Be sure to stop by the CPS blog for more inspiration and details on how to join the fun this week!

PSA Essentials Luck of the Irish Blog Hop

Hello and Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm so excited to be participating in the PSA Essentials Luck of the Irish Blog Hop!!!
Do you have big plans for today?  Nothing big on my agenda... except for this amazing blog hop!  I'm only Irish on St. Patty's Day!   ;-)

You should be coming here from Linda's blog.  The entire list of designers in the hop are listed below if you hopped off-course!

All you have to do is hop to each of the blogs participating, comment at each, and are (or become) a follower of PSA Stamp Camp... and you will be entered to win the “Luck of the Irish” prize. This prize contains: 1 custom stamp, 2 ink colors, 1 alignment tool and these Peel & Stick packs (just in time for Spring!).  Seriously... I'd LOVE this prize!

So, with those details out of the way, are you ready for my project?

I had a little fun with two of Paper Smooches latest free digi-stamps.  I printed Kim's darling clover several times and colored in a spectrum of Copic marker colors.  When I had all the clovers colored, I covered with glue and liberally sprinkled with fine glitter.  I allowed to dry before I carefully trimmed each with precision scissors.  These clovers positively SHINE!

To get the cloud shape, I traced the cloud die about a 0.5" larger than the die onto the back of the printed sentiment.  Once I had the sentiment cut out, I erased the pencil lines on the back, covered with glue and sprinkled with more glitter.

To add a bit more to the "sky" background, I put the cloud dies on my work table, layered the Core'dinations cardstock on top and gently sanded to get the white core cloud to come through on the cardstock.  It's subtle, but a really fun detail!

As an added bonus, I created a little treat holder too.  I die cut a Labels 8 Nestability die and scored to hold a couple candies.  I added a banner of gold (painted because I didn't have gold paper) and another glittered shamrock to embellish.  Simple and cute!  And a perfect vehicle to hold my rainbow of fruit flavors (mini Skittles).

Be sure to visit and comment along the way to have a chance to win that awesome PSA Essentials prize pack!  I know I'd love to win it!  I said that already, haven't I?  Shhh... we won't tell...

The next stop on the hop is Mara Campbell.

In case you landed here out of order and would like to participate, here's the list of all the designers:

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 11

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  This week our challenge is to create a card with St. Patrick's Day as the theme or a green card.

Shamrock

I had a blast coloring this image!!!  I used a range of green Copic markers to color the Sketchy Clovers (H-1018) image.  I highlighted the buckle of my hat with Gold Lame Smooch paint.  A couple lines of Gold pearl dots add more shine!

Happy Spring and Happy STS Release Day!

Hello!  It's Lisa again and it's Shady Tree Studio's release day!  This project features the Floral Occasions stamp set and has me ready for Spring.

Happy Spring

I have always loved these sketchy flowers... they were an image released with Cornish Heritage Farms and making a comeback as an image in the Floral Occasions stamp set for Shady Tree Studio.  I paired my sketchy flowers with Paper Girl (The Girls' Paperie) patterned paper and colored with Copic markers to match.  I die cut a doily and fussy cut around the flowers to be the perfect embellishment.

This card just makes me happy!  The colors and sentiment have me itching for Spring weather!

Thanks for visiting... and be sure to stop by the Shady Tree Studio blog for more inspiration!

Joy

Hello!  I have a project I'd like to share with you, featuring the Eastertide stamp set, which will be releasing on Friday, March 11th.

Joy

This is a super simple card.  It's all about the contrast of the white space and the bright pink of the eggs.  I stamped the floral-filled egg on the card panel and again on a separate piece of cardstock.  I colored the eggs with Copic markers and layered onto the cardbase.  A strip of sticky tape with a bit of glitter and a border of Ice White pearl drops make a shimmery backdrop for vibrant flowers on these joyous Easter eggs.

One more day of sneak peeks and we're almost to release day!

Spring Violets

Hello!  I have a project I'd like to share with you, featuring the Floral Occasions stamp set, which will be releasing on Friday, March 11th.

Violets

I love the sketchy flowers in this set and decided that I was going to color this trio as a set of violets.  It's a bit of creative license.  I colored the flowers with Copic markers, really keeping this simple.  To complete the project, I decided to layer three different washi tapes (keeping with the rule of three) to the cardbase.  Super fast and simple!

There will be loads of posts in the next couple of days from the design team (our own blogs), as well on the Shady Tree Studio blog.  Be sure to stop by and see what everyone has going on with this release.  It's just FAB!

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 10

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  This week our challenge is Lots of Layers... with Layering Stamps and Smooch paints.

Boo

I know... it's a Halloween card, but I just love the Spooky Layering College (K-703) image.  There are SO many great images built into this one stamp.  I've just pulled a small portion of it into my finished project, making the Layering Collage Stamps some of the most versatile you can have in your collection!

I colored my image with Smooch paints too.  There's a lot of shine to this card!  I added Ice White Pearl pen drops as a border around my card and the central image.

CPS Sketch # 207 - Kraftin' Kimmie

Hello!  It's time for another CPS sketchKraftin' Kimmie was the prize sponsor last week.

ETA: I had this post all set to go and it never posted!  It's the second time in the last two weeks that Blogger has done this to me.  Arghhh....

Hi!

When I saw this week's sketch, I was reminded of a film strip.  I tried to use a die that I had, but it wouldn't have allowed me to showcase the image... so I made one of my own.  It's certainly not perfect like a die-cut, but that just adds to the charm, right?  Please let me think that....

I thought the patterned paper was just a perfect fit for the flowers with this sweet little mouse.

Please stop by the CPS blog to see more designer inspiration.
