Hello!!! It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge. This week our challenge is all about our furry friends - anything using a cat or dog image.
Yep... this project is bright! You might need to avert your eyes a bit. Hah! I picked Lime Rickey Basic Grey paper as my starting point. Really, it was because I was determined to have an orange kitty. My neighbor has a calico and he's the prettiest cat I've ever seen. Of course, we love him as though he was our cat, so this was my motivation!
I used the cat and the skeins of yarn from the Split Layering Collage - Meow image for my focal image and pulled the sentiment from the other portion of the image. It's a great way to use these images. You don't have to use the entire thing for your projects, making them VERY versatile stamps to have in your collection.
A little detail you might not be able to see in the picture above is that I trimmed along the scallops of the patterned paper and layered along the bottom of the panel. I gently bent the scallops upward for texture.
