Outlines Rubber Stamps Challenge - Follow Your Heart

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a project with hearts in our project.  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Flower Power

I stamped the Venus Jewel (D-884) three times on Solar White cardstock with Black Soot Distress ink and embossed with clear powder.  I colored the image simply with Copic markers and carefully trimmed from the cardstock.  I adhered to my card front and embellished with Ice White pearl pen.  The benefit of using the Viva pearl pens is that they do not warp your paper, so you can add to a finished project.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  We'd love it if you joined in the fun!

CPS Sketch # 251 - No Sponsor

Hello!  It's time for another CPS sketch project.  I wasn't sponsored this week, so I pulled out some fun Cat's Pajamas stamps that had yet to see ink (see the theme... I need to stamp more so everything gets used!)  :-)

Let's Fly Away

I took a little creative license with my sketch interpretation, but I think it still works just fine.

And isn't this guy darling?!  I did a lot of fussy cutting for this card.  First, I stamped the whole image and colored with copic markers.  Then, I stamped again on the Posh Wagon Red Dungaree paper to get a vibrant red plane.  So fun and simple.

Thanks for visiting.  Be sure to stop by the CPS blog for more inspiration!

CPS Sketch # 250 - No Sponsor

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  I wasn't sponsored this week, so I thought I'd work with some gorgeous product I already had.

Je t'aime

I loved creating with this sketch.  I think it's my favorite of all time... and yes, I think I say that every week.  I used Head Over Heels paper and clear stamps by Lily Bee (designed by Julia Stainton).  The elegant bit to this design was using the PTI full card front die to give my project that silvery shimmer (silver ore metallic paper was used).

Thanks for visiting and I hope you'll join us at CPS for more inspiration!

CPS Sketch # 249 - No Sponsor

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  I wasn't sponsored this week, so I used things I had on hand that had yet to see ink.

Love

This project is truly simple.  I love that the main panel was created with Kraft.  The kraft paper from DiscountCardstock.com is a beautiful weight (80#) and has wonderful color variations.  The white ink sponged on the edges is a great finishing touch.

Thanks for visiting today!  I hope you'll stop by the CPS blog for more inspiration and details on how you can join in the creative fun!

Outlines Rubber Stamps Challenge - Sketch

Hello!!!  Happy New Year!  It's hard to believe a new year is upon us already!

The good news is that it's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challengeJoin the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a project using a sketch as as our inspiration.  I love designing from a sketch and had a lot of fun creating this for our team to use.  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Here's the sketch we're using this month.

Joyful

I had so much fun creating for this sketch.  I found the Joyful (H-1159) image and thought it perfect for my vertical space.  I stamped the butterflies on Solar White cardstock with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and embossed with clear powder.  I colored with Distress inks using a water brush and then spritzed with Mister Huey's Calico White spray (love this!!).  I carefully trimmed and placed in their original formation on my card front.  A little Pink Sorbet twine rounds out the design.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  We've added the fabulous Julie Warner to our team!  All the best to Robin and Sandy, who were on the 2011 Outlines team.  You will be missed!
