CPS Sketch # 173 - Innovative Stamp Creations

Hello!  I have another CPS project for you.  This week's sponsor is Innovative Stamp Creations, with loads of realistic images in their portfolio.  I really loved browsing!

In My Thoughts

It's really hard to see in the picture, but I stamped (2nd generation) the Little Specks background series stamp onto portions of the butterfly panel.  I deliberately left some spaces fading away or light for a subtle detail.  I embossed the butterflies and added a few light dashes of color to them with Copic markers - to match the regal Basic Grey Cappella paper.

Please stop by the CPS Sketch blog for more designer inspiration this week.  We'd love it if you joined in with a creation of your own!

Thanks for visiting,
lise

CHF Summer Fling - Week 4

Hello!  I'm not part of the formal blog hop this week, but wanted to share a fun Friendly Kritter project with you today.  I'm pretty sure I may have already shared this one with you before, but I really love this one!

In order to get the details to minic the reference art, I used a copic multiliner pen to give definition to the character's eyes. Then, I used a black Sakura glaze pen to color the penguin - after completing the other coloring. Do not complete this step first and follow with Copic markers because it will damage your marker nib.

For loads of inspiration this week, please stop by the CHF Special gallery for the week and the Friendly Kritter gallery.  If you upload a qualifying card (using the featured week's stamp line) to the CHF special gallery for the week you will be eligible for the Design Team's Favorite prize which will be a rubber stamp/stamp set of your choice up to the value of $16.99. We're looking forward to having you play along with us for the summer.

This week's featured line are the sweet Friendly Kritters - and will be 25% off this week. It's the perfect opportunity to purchase an image or two you need.

Lisa

So... with all the business out of the way, are you ready for my project?

This was a quick card with a collage of images and papers - both the School Primer ATC set and Recess October Afternoon paper were the key players.  I had fun mixing and matching the two, since they are perfect together.  I swiped Old Paper ink over my stamped images to give them the same tone as the patterned paper.

Next on the hop is Tracy.

Sun Catcher

I post a new technique each week at Cornish Heritage Farms - and I'm terrible about blogging about it.  I think part of the reason is that I don't often remember to come back here after I create the project, edit all the pictures and then write instructions.  I promise to do better about that.

This week's technique is to create a Sun Catcher.  This one uses basic supplies like Clear Card Sheets, Glossy Accents and ink refills.  You can catch all the details HERE on the CHF Forum.

I'd love to hear from you if you give this a try!

CHF Summer Fling - Week 2

If you've ever wanted to tackle the Thomas Kinkade images from Cornish Heritage Farms, this week is the time to try.  Today's the last day of the sale on these lovely images from CHF.

Important Things

I love these images.  They seem so intimidating, but they are truly wonderful!  Kristine created a great tutorial on how versatile they are - you can go very simple (with stamped images only) to fully colored creations.  You can see her article HERE at the CHF Creative Blog.

This project came together quickly.  I colored the image with multiple Copic markers, following the color index label as my guide.  I paired it with the best sentiment ever... "If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."  Isn't that ideal for this image?

Stop by the CHF Special Gallery for more inspiration.

CPS Sketch # 171 - Kraftin' Kimmie

Hello!  I have another CPS Sketch project to share with you today.  The sponsor for the week is Kraftin' Kimmie.  I really love the images and had a ton of fun creating with the sketch.

Kisses

Isn't this sweet little girl with her teddy just darling?  I fell in love!  I kept this very simple by coloring with copics, a little paper piecing for her dress and a bit of ruffle.

Be sure to stop by the CPS blog for more designer inspiration.  If you create with us, you have a chance to win a great Kraftin' Kimmie prize pack.

Thanks for visiting,

CPS Sketch # 170 - My Favorite Things

Is it really June?!?  I feel like we just put away the Christmas stuff.  Sheesh!  It's time for my weekly CPS Sketch project.  The sponsor this week is My Favorite Things.  I had a BLAST with this sketch and the images... so without any more preamble...

I Like You...
Aren't Emma and Wyatt darling?  I love how he's reaching for her hand and she's being shy.  I used loads of fun scallop layers on this project... Cork, ribbon, and carefully trimmed patterned paper all played a part in the layout.  You can see some of these layers and a bit of the coloring detail in the image below:

I also truncated the sentiment to fit my card design... and well, it's super sweet!

Be sure to stop by the CPS Blog to see more designer inspiration.  We'd love to see your designs... and who knows, you could win a prize pack from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for visiting... because I like you too!

This week's featured line is the Backgrounders. For this week only (offer ends Thursday June 10th, 2010 MST & is for online orders only) Backgrounders are on sale at 25% off! They are only $8.99 this week for Cling Mounted, $13.49 for wood mounted.

So... with all the business out of the way, are you ready for my project?

With the focus of this week being on the backgrounders, which are numerous in the CHF line, I chose to design a project with the Spanish Script backgrounder.

I stamped the Freesia flower twice and colored.  Both were carefully trimmed and adhered to the project as my focal point.

Super simple... but elegant.  I think the Spanish Script backgrounder really gives a subtle elegance to any project, don't you?

So, if you've hopped your way here, I'm the last in the line.  But, if you found me on your own and would like to participate, I've listed all the designers in today's hop.  Jump back to the beginning and leave comments along the way for a chance at winning.

It's time for another CPS Sketch project!  It's amazing how the weeks are just flying.  This week's sponsor is Renaissance by Design.

The images from the Summer Fruit Clear stamp set were MADE for the fun vintage papers by October Afternoon.  I knew I was going to pair the two together.  It's a berry good fit.  (Sorry - had to do it!).  All the papers were inked with Old Paper Distress ink to make it all seemless and mesh together.

Please stop by the CPS blog for more designer inspiration.  We'd love it if you joined us and shared your design - you could win a prize pack from Renaissance by Design.
