Somthing cute was in order... and nothing says cute quite like the Pure Innocence line at MFT! I have used a square die to cut holes in the square front of my patterned paper and put my stamped image (and coordinating papers) behind.
Thanks for visiting,

CPS Sketch # 284 - My Favorite Things
Hello! It's time for another project for CPS. It's still about My Favorite Things!
Together
I am planning to give this card to my husband for our anniversary. I love the sentiment and the people border is just fun! It's actually a border of only ladies in dresses, but I carefully trimmed every other person to remove the dress. Talk about versatile!
Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

CPS Sketch # 281 - My Favorite Things
Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. This month is sponsored by My Favorite Things. I LOVE MFT! I'm a frequent shopper. The unique images, the ever-sweet Pure Innocence stamps and dies make it a fan favorite.

The sentiment is the main star of this project. I just fell in love with the Vertical Greetings stamp set, because of the wise words. I stamped my favorite from the set and embossed. Layered with some pretty papers and rolled roses, this card is complete!

Hello! It's time for another CPS sketch project! This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things... and yes, they are one of my all-time favorites!
Rainy Day Blues
Isn't this little girl just darling? She's colored with copic markers (her little yellow rain slicker makes me smile). Her umbrella is paper pieced with some fun chevron patterned paper. I'd love an umbrella like that, wouldn't you?
Here's an close up view of the coloring:

Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. There was no sponsor for the week, so I pulled out some of my favorite supplies and had some fun!
happy birthday
I love that there are dies that accompany this set, making this card come together quickly! Love that! To give my typewriter and paper some disressing, I used a ripped piece of cardstock rubbed in the Deep Lagoon ink to run on the edges of the die-cut images in random places. I love the look.

CPS Sketch # 231 - My Favorite Things
Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things! I'm a huge fan of MFT's images and love stamping with them no matter what the project.
Love You
I love the dies that accompany the You Move Me set. The small images would not be easily trimmed, so the dies are just that perfect.
Here's a quick tip... I wanted to have a mat for my central image. Since it's a singular die, I placed the die on my colored cardstock and traced the exterior with a pencil. After carefully trimming with my precision scissors, I had a slightly larger version of my bracket-edged box and a perfect mat. Voila!
OK... another quick tip... I wanted to connect more than one of the rocket's trail, to make an extra long trail. Don't hesitate to move your clear stamp around a bit on your acrylic block until you have the shape you want. I bent it a bit so it would all fit on my white banner on the bottom.
Enough yakking from me...
Thanks for visiting,

Hello! It's CPS sketch project time again. I wasn't sponsored this week, so I had a little fun with a set I had on hand from My Favorite Things.
Miss You
This is pretty close to clean and simple... just a bit of patterned paper instead of planned white space. But, it's fun. I kept the coloring to a minimum and let the image speak for itself.

CPS Sketch # 222 - My Favorite Things
Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things. I had a ball creating with the stamps, dies and the fab sketch!
Backspace
I had a ball creating this week. As I was putting the elements of my card together, I felt like I needed to pay homage to one of MFT's designers, Ms. Jody Morrow. I stitched on my card, inked and added elements to the corner in true Jody fashion! Thanks for the inspiration!
I created my own ruffled ribbon flower from some Maya Road ribbon and added a bit of lime green seam binding for added flair and balance.

What's Cooking?
I kept this one fairly simple... my little girl is whipping up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Yum... chocolate chip cookies... Did I mention I've been on a diet and I'm only eating healthy? And the only cookies I've been enjoying are the virtual kind? Yeah... I'm so done with this. Bring on the real deal!

CPS Sketch # 194 - Free For All
Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. I wasn't sponsored this week, so I decided to pull out a stamp set that I've been wanting to use for quite some time!
Missing You
I just adore the Pure Innocence line from My Favorite Things. The sweet little girl is just darling! I stamped the little girl twice, coloring and cutting one of them precisely. I popped one up on the main panel for dimension. I also sponged Broken China Distress ink over the main panel for my sky.
Here's a view of the dimension. I added White Enamel Accents to the snowflakes falling and Black Enamel Accents to her coat buttons for shine.
Be sure to visit the CPS blog for more designer inspiration!

CPS Sketch # 170 - My Favorite Things
Is it really June?!? I feel like we just put away the Christmas stuff. Sheesh! It's time for my weekly CPS Sketch project. The sponsor this week is My Favorite Things. I had a BLAST with this sketch and the images... so without any more preamble...
I Like You...
Aren't Emma and Wyatt darling? I love how he's reaching for her hand and she's being shy. I used loads of fun scallop layers on this project... Cork, ribbon, and carefully trimmed patterned paper all played a part in the layout. You can see some of these layers and a bit of the coloring detail in the image below:
I also truncated the sentiment to fit my card design... and well, it's super sweet!
Be sure to stop by the CPS Blog to see more designer inspiration. We'd love to see your designs... and who knows, you could win a prize pack from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for visiting... because I like you too!

My NEW Favorite Things - Pure Innocence
Yes - it's true! I'm in love! I have finally caved and purchased a few of these darling little girls in the Pure Innocence stamp line and have been having a ton of fun creating with them.
Sending Well Wishes:
Isn't this little one sweet? She seems so compassionate, taking care of her little bear.
I colored her with Copics, matching her to the Early Bird Cosmo Cricket paper. I also had to give a try at making my own ribbon rose again... this time, because my ribbon was a bit thinner than the satin I used earlier in the week, I followed Ms. Julie's great technique HERE. I felt like I was wearing more Fabri-Tac glue than my ribbon, but it worked. Let's just not look too closely at this little rose, shall we. I think I need to practice a bit. Hah!!!
As a sidenote, I also purchased some Detail Blending Paper by Couture Cardstock from eclectic paperie. This stuff rocks! I felt like I had complete control of the markers and had great saturation. I was SO happy with the results that I think this will be a go-to paper for my Copic colored projects.
Thanks for visiting! I appreciate it!

My Favorite Things - Coffee
I had won a gift certificate from Julie Campbell - Stamped in His Image - as blog candy and had a chance to shop at Paper Pretties. I know... great give-away, wasn't it?!?! I purchased a stamp set that I'd been eyeing for quite some time. It's called Hot Stuff by My Favorite Things. These were my very quick cards for the set...

The images were smaller than I thought... but not a problem at all. I love to make small square cards. The central image (Kim's signature style is a truncated view of people doing their favorite things!) is colored with copic markers. I highlighted the coffee with glitter pens.
I think the fun part of these cards is the Creamy caramel matte. I used a micron pen to create a frame, mirroring the same one in the central image. It's fun! I'm really happy with these quick cards and know I'll be pulling this set out to make more fun cards in the future!
Both cards are in my gallery at SCS, if you'd like to see the full recipe of supplies - links active below:
Pink Card / Coffee and Friends...
Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa
