This week our challenge was to create a card with Black + White + One other color. Simple right? I hope you'll create along with us this week!
Congratulations
"Tis the season... for graduations, that is. I think we have three in the family this year. The Sketchy Graduation (H-1013) image is a fast image to color. Perfect if you have lots of graduates to celebrate! I stamped the Sketchy Graduation image in Black Soot Distress ink and embossed. I colored simply with Copic markers. My pop of color is purple, since the school colors are purple and black. Perfect, no? I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.

Hello! It's time for another CPS sketch project! This week's sponsor is Kraftin' Kimmie.
I Dig You!
I had a ball coloring Joanie. Isn't she a minx?! I added dots of black pearl pen around my image and to Joanie's hair clip and belt. It's just the right touch.

Hello!!! It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge. This week our challenge was to create a masculine card. With Father's Day around the corner, this was the perfect opportunity to create for that special man.
Uniquely Dad
Isn't this a great image? I only used a portion of the Gift Card Holder-Guy image to have the right size for my card front. I stamped the Gift Card Holder-Guy (I-924) and colored with Copics. In fact, I used a variety of copic markers to make a realistic plaid. I colored the ties in the center all alike except for the dotted tie... because my dad stands out in a crowd and deserves a card to celebrate him appropriately!
To make this even more unique, I created a kraft envelope to hold a small note or a gift card. Here's a view of my card:
Lot's of fun celebrating the men in our lives, isn't it?
I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.

Hello! It's time for another CPS sketch project. This week our sponsor was Lawn Fawn (hooray!!!) and I had a blast creating!
Shine Brightly
I paper pieced my paper lanterns and popped them up on the central panel. Oh! And I flipped the sketch so my buttons could hold the string of lanterns across the top. I love taking the sketch and changing it a bit to match the images!

Hello!!! It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge. This week our challenge was to create a card with floral images. There are so many fabulous flower images available at Outlines... the toughest part was picking one!
Simple Flower
I think the name of this card is a misnomer. My card uses a rather complex looking image - the Flower Mandala 3 (H-213). I stamped the Flower Mandala 3 image with Versamark ink and embossed with Silver embossing powder. Then, keeping it simple, I colored alternate lines of the flower with two shades of Copic markers.
I snipped down each petal of the Flower Mandala to give this a ton of dimension.
And it's a simple card. I deliberately left off a sentiment so I can add one to fit any occasion. I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.

Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. The sponsor this week is Paper Smooches! It's so wonderful to be working with Ms. Kim's wonderful images!!!
You're Purrr-fect!
Aren't these little guys darling? Yep... I'm in LOVE! They are so fun to color and easy to cut-out. I used Copics to color them and carefully trimmed to pop-up on the card front. Just that simple! I hope you'll stop by the CPS blog for more designer inspiration and information on how to participate in this week's sketch for a chance to win the prize pack from Paper Smooches.

OK... so this just squeaks by on the challenge side of things with only one button... no lashes with a wet noodle please. But I thought it was timely and simple.
I stamped the Spotted Petals Lg (E-653) image, colored with copic markers and carefully trimmed from the cardstock. After I adhered it to the front of my card, I filled in the polka dots with Ice White pearl pen. I could try to make a card without using my pearl pens, but I'd really prefer not to. ;-)
Here's a picture of the detail.
I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.

Hello! It's time for another CPS Sketch project. This week's sponsor is Flower Soft. For more details and designer inspiration, stop by the CPS blog.
Yeah!
I adhered Flower Soft in stripes using varying widths of Sookwang tape. I peeled the tape off random strips and pressed Ultra Fine Flower Soft to get a really cool embellishment. I really love the look and texture!

I love the idea of the Design Enclosure Large (F-740) stamp. Having a secret message or image on a card is such a fun element... and I thought it was perfect for this challenge. The image itself has a rounded edge flower. Of course, I added additional round elements... rounded corners on my central panel, the bottom edges of the card are rounded and the buttons. I stamped and embossed the Design Enclosure Large (F-740) image. I colored simply with copic markers to match the papered paper.
To keep my design enclosure closed, I used a button (at the center of my flower). Using a glue dot that's been worked a little on my hands to take the tackiness down a bit, the larger petal on the flower on the right fits gently under the button.
To add a little bit of glimmer, I carefully painted some of the open areas with Illuminate Smooch paint.
Because I used Copic markers to color the image, I covered the inside of the Design Enclosure with a coordinating patterned paper. And I didn't add a note yet, but it would be perfect to add a love note!
