CHF Challenge CHF07 - Animals

Hello!  Welcome to Cornish Heritage Farms' next challenge (CHF05).  The design team will be working together to spotlight a different theme every two weeks and would love it you join us for the fun.
The theme today:  Animals

Happy Birthday

This is subtle... but it fits.  I promise!  I used the Peacock Toile Backgrounder with Peacock Brilliance ink pad to create a pretty base for a birthday card.  This will be delivered to my friend this week.  I hope she likes it!

    CHF Challenge CHF06 - Color

Hello!  Welcome to Cornish Heritage Farms' next challenge (CHF06).  The design team will be working together to spotlight a different theme every two weeks and would love it you join us for the fun.

The theme today:  Black and White + One Color

    Spanish Rose
I love simple elegance.  The choice of black and white just seems to automatically deliver a classy finished product.
    Directions:

    1. Die cut multiple flowers from Pretty Pink DoubleMate cardstock with the Tattered Floral die.
    2. Layer flowers to create rose, gluing with Glossy Accents. Add dots of Glossy Accents to give the rose drops of water or dew.
    3. Stamp the Spanish Script backgrounder on Solar White and adhere to a larger matte of Heritage DoubleMate.
    4. Complete the card with a bow of black twill. Adhere the created rose to the cardfront.

    CPS Sketch # 271 - No Sponsor

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This was a gorgeous sketch this week... I think I'll tuck this one away as a favorite of mine.

    happy happy birthday

This happy card was given to my mom, who celebrated her birthday last week.  And since the sketch was all set for me, it made creating this all about the colors and elements.  So much fun!

CHF Challenge CHF03 - Pearls and Lace

Hello!  Welcome to Cornish Heritage Farms' next challenge (CHF03).  The design team will be working together to spotlight a different theme every two weeks and would love it you join us for the fun.

The theme today:  Pearls and Lace.
    Lace Gift Box
So - it's VERY subtle, but I stampe on the top of my Sea Blue box the Large Polka Dot Backgrounder in white.  The color is faint, but trust me... it's there!
    Directions:
    1) Cut two squares of cardstock, one in Sea Blue (5.5” square) and one of Solar White (5.25” square).
    2) Score all sides of both squares at 1.25” and fold.
    3) Cut flaps along the scores at each corner and remove a small wedge. This allows the box edges to align properly.
    4) Stamp polka dots on the top of the box.
    5) Adhere the sides of the box (top and bottom) and embellish.

    CHF Release Blog Hop

    Hello!

Welcome to Cornish Heritage Farms blog hop! Come join us as the Cornish Heritage Farms Design Team take you on a journey discovering all sorts of CHF goodness! If you didn’t start at the beginning of this hop, you might want to head on over to the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog so that you don’t miss out on anything.

This month we have 17 backgrounders, 3 ATC Sets, 2 individual Rummage Bin Stamps and 3 Rummage Bin Stamp sets being released.

"First 24 Special" - receive 15% off all orders that are placed within the first 24 hours of the release.

Be sure to leave a comment on everyone’s blog as you travel from blog to blog for your change to win some Cornish Heritage Farms blog candy. Three of our CHF Design Team members will be given away blog candy, but who they are is a secret! They will be giving away one new CHF stamp to a random person who leaves a comment on their blog!

So with all the business out of the way, are you ready for my projects?  Today, I opted to create two projects for our hop, highlighting the amazing and versatile Backgrounder!

    Text Me

Seriously... how simple is that?  I love patterned paper.  Love might not be a strong enough emotion... addiction perhaps?  So, using a backgrounder is a perfect way to achieve a patterned paper effect.  You can stamp backgrounders in any color to coordinate with your project.  Pair with patterned paper or use alone.

Personally, I thought it was slightly ironic that I made a card that says "text me".  I wonder if my teenager even knows how to mail a card!  Hah!

    Eat Cake

This is my FAVORITE of all my release projects, even though it's super simple.  And here's why... I've been hoarding the wood grain paper in my Splendid (by Authentique) paper pad.  It's so unique, with its golden hue and highlights of teal blue and pink.  It's just perfect.  So, when I was pulling all my supplies together for my release projects and realized I could make a piece of my own golden wood grain paper... instant happiness!!!!  Here's a side-by-side comparison for you:

The paper on the left is the original paper from Authentique.  The paper on the right is my version.  And while I'm confessing things to you, I honestly love my version more!  I stamped the Wood Grain backgrounder with Scattered Straw (a golden yellow) on Antique Gold Parchment paper.  Then, I added highlights of pink, yellow and blue to my paper.  I just LOVE it!

So... now that I have you all hyper about your own custom patterned paper (I know!!  I'm still bouncing!!), I'd like to send you on your way to the next stop in your hop:

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you shop tonight, I'd love to know what you bought.  Welcome back, CHF!

    CHF Sneak Peek #4

    Hello again,
Today is our last day of previews, so I have one last project to share with you before our big release hop.  A few things to remember:
    • This month we have 17 backgrounders, 3 ATC Sets, 2 individual Rummage Bin Stamps and 3 Rummage Bin Stamp sets being released.
    • Join us for our release Blog Hop this Thursday 19th April 10 PM EST (tomorrow!!!), starting on the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog.
    • New Release Stamps available in the Cornish Heritage Farms Store from Thursday 19th April 10 PM EST.
    • "First 24 Special" - receive 15% off all orders that are placed within the first 24 hours of the release.
Are you ready for my last peek project?

    Pretty Purse

I just had to create a non-card project for our peeks.  This is a relatively simple project, created from the Favor Bag die by Sizzix.  What's wonderful about the die is that the purse flap is a separate piece, which is perfect for stamping!  I inked my Large Polka Dot backgrounder with Lavender Fluid Chalk ink and stamped for a perfectly pretty purse (wow - alliteration!).

Here's a view of the side:

Wouldn't this make a great favor bag for a wedding shower?  You could match the bride's colors with your stamped elements.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Tomorrow's a big release!  Welcome back, CHF!

    CHF Challenge - Backgrounders

So, we normally do a weekly challenge and post on Mondays...  I'm late.  I know... 40 lashes with a wet noodle.  :-)

It's an easy challenge, though.  Cornish Heritage Farms has a wonderful selection of backgrounders!

    Tiled Scallops Jewelry Set:

I created polymer pieces and added them with jump rings to a purchased necklace and earring set. The polymer clay pieces are very light when baked and will add negligible weight to the overall project. I had made this project for a sweet friend about 2 weeks ago and is perfect for this challenge!

    Thanks for looking!
