JiFFy Challenge!

Hello!!!  I'm SO glad to be joining the JiFFy (Just For Fun) challenge this month.  If you've not seen the usual crew's projects each month, I'll fill you in.  These lovely ladies (and I mean SUPER talented ladies) get together and make a project using the same basic supplies.  No one knows what the combination of paper and stamps are going to be until it arrives in each other's mailbox.  It's always a ton of fun to see what everyone creates!
Ms. Carole sent the paper this month - Noodle Soup by Jillibean Soup.  Crossing paths in the mail from Ms. Julie were the darling images from the So Thankful stamp set by Hero Arts.

So, here's my creation...

Thankful

Aren't these pilgrims just darling?  I colored each carefully with Copics.  Liquid pearls replaced the little boy's buttons on his shirt.  I also colored the turkey, adding a bit of sparkle to the tail feathers, and carefully trimmed with precision scissors.  While I love to stitch on paper, I decided to add faux-stitching instead.  I'd say it's because I wanted to do it that way... but to be honest, I was afraid I'd mess up the patterned paper...   There's confidence for you!  Hah!

(Sorry for the quality of this picture... I just couldn't get the balance right in editing...) My little turkey is popped up on the front panel with dimensional tape.  He's too cute to be dinner, isn't he?

And while I don't always finish the inside of my cards, I really wanted to do something to make this card special.  I added a few bits of the patterned paper and my sentiment, off-center, to complete the card.
I'd love it if you'd visit all my friends to see what crafty goodness they've created:

Michele Boyer
Julie Campbell
Carole Burrage (she'll be posting a bit later in the day with her project)
Ali Miles
Kim Hughes
Lori Craig

Thanks for visiting!
