Moxie Fab Lace Challenge

So... here's a quick card (which I happened to remember that I needed to make for a work colleague)... and luck would have it that it also fits into the Moxie Fab Challenge on Doilies and Lace.  I managed to get this completed just under the wire!!!  I think vintage and lace are the perfect pair... so hence my take on a classic and elegant baby card.

Rock-a Bye Baby

It's not really evident, but I stamped a lace border into the solid yellow portions of the patterned paper with Versamark ink and embossed with Seafoam white embossing powder.  I've always thought several of the Ever After patterns by Cosmo Cricket have a lacey quality to them.  The stamped lace pieces just kick it up another notch!  I really love that it looks like a part of the paper.

I stamped the main image with Walnut Brown Distress ink and embossed with clear embossing powder before coloring with Copic markers.  The embossing gives such a finished look to the image.

Because I'm convinced you can't have TOO much lace, I added a bit behind the stamped main image and tied a bit around the vintage pin.  Lots of lovely lace!!!  (And plenty of alliteration as a bonus).

Well, I'd better prep this for the mail.  The lady that is getting this card is heading out for maternity leave in just a week and a half.  Let's hope the mail is speedy!

Thank you for visiting!
