Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 7

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  This week, it's all about color!  We were tasked with making a card that is Black, White and Red.  It's a perfect theme for Valentine's Day, isn't it?

My Heart

This card is all about the image.  I used the Tattoo Heart (H-915) and stamped directly on my cardfront with Black Soot Distress ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I stamped the Tattoo Heart two more times on a separate piece of cardstock.  I colored the images with Copic markers - on the second and third stamped images, I only had to color the central heart.  On the card base, I used a small sponge and carefully swirled Black Soot Distress ink lightly to give a shadow over the central heart.  I trimmed the hearts from the second and third images and popped up on the card base with 3M mounting tape.  You can see how the hearts are very dimensional - on an otherwise one-layer card... very unlike me!!!

I finished the card with dots of White Ice Liquid Pearls (love that stuff!!!) and some seam binding.

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration:

  1. One layer cards -- an impossibility as far as I'm concerned .... and here you have made one look so very beautiful and easy! I LOVE the black soot edging giving the slight shadow -- brilliant idea!

  6. Beautiful, Lisa, I am loving the look of the bright red on the white, just stunning. You really did a great job on layering the heart and adding the shadow. Who says a one layer card can't ROCK!
