Hello!!! It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge. We're doing things a little bit different with our challenges. Join the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week! Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog!
This week our challenge was to create a card with ribbons and bows. I hope you'll create along with us this week!
While I only have one bow on the card, I think it qualifies. And yes... you should adjust your monitor. It's a really bright card!
I stamped the Sparkle Pocket (H-803) image and colored with Copic markers. To give my pocket a denim look, I wet a piece of cloth with copic blending solution and pressed on my colored image. The key to keeping the texture crisp is to not have your cloth too wet. I pulled a strip of denim off an old pair of my son's jeans and used to tie my single bow. A few dots of Chrome Silver Pearl pen gives my denim a little be-dazzled look.
But, my pocket wouldn't be complete unless it was a real pocket. Using dimensional tape, I secured the pocket image to the front of my card along the edges so a small tag will fit inside. I think it would make a great gift card holder, don't you?
I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration. And don't forget you can join in our fun!
