CPS Sketch # 224 - Sparkle Creations

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is Sparkle Creations!  I just LOVE their images and had a blast creating this week.

Bubbly

So... don't you want a large bubbly concoction?  I know I do!  Preferrably on the beach!  My color inspiration was the Happily Lost paper collection by Lily Bee Designs.  I colored this sweet girl with Copic markers and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the glass to give it a realistic shimmer.

Thanks for visiting,
Lisa

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 26

Hello!!!  It's Monday and time for a new Outlines Rubber Stamp design team challenge.  We're doing things a little bit different with our challenges.  Join the Design Team in our weekly challenges with a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate each week!  Please check out the details of how to play and win on the Outlines Blog

This week our challenge was to create a card with one of the Bleach It Or Not images.  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Spring Tulips

So, I opted not not use the Tulip (I-211) image with bleach.  What I wanted was a softly colored image.  I stamped the Tulips (I-211) image with Versamark ink on smooth cardstock.  Then, using Pebbles Pearlescent chalks, I "colored" the image.  The chalks stick to the Versamark ink.  And it's impossible to see in my picture, but the colors are so soft and shimmery in real life.  So pretty!

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 223 - No Sponsor

Hello.  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  I wasn't sponsored this week, so I decided to grab some of my Lily Bee Designs papers and stamps to create.

Seize the Day

I admit it... Julia Stainton is my hero!  She designed both the Picket Fence stamp set and paper line.  So, I feel like I needed to pay homage with a card in her style (or at least what I could come close to in my own way).

Thanks for visiting,

This week our challenge was to create a card with Kraft Cardstock.  I don't think a week goes by without me using kraft cardstock... it's in my bones!  I hope you'll create along with us this week!  I think this one is a breeze!!!

Country Christmas

I stamped Zarek (F-59) directly onto kraft cardstock and using a variety of inks to paint him.  White pigment ink fills in for the snow and Distress inks work beautifully for the rest of the details - a waterbrush works wonderfully!

And bonus... I have a holiday card made before the mad rush of the Season!

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  Don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 222 - My Favorite Things

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is My Favorite Things.  I had a ball creating with the stamps, dies and the fab sketch!

Backspace

I had a ball creating this week.  As I was putting the elements of my card together, I felt like I needed to pay homage to one of MFT's designers, Ms. Jody Morrow.  I stitched on my card, inked and added elements to the corner in true Jody fashion!  Thanks for the inspiration!

I created my own ruffled ribbon flower from some Maya Road ribbon and added a bit of lime green seam binding for added flair and balance.

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 24

This week our challenge was to create a card with ribbons and bows.  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Pockets

While I only have one bow on the card, I think it qualifies.  And yes... you should adjust your monitor.  It's a really bright card!

I stamped the Sparkle Pocket (H-803) image and colored with Copic markers.  To give my pocket a denim look, I wet a piece of cloth with copic blending solution and pressed on my colored image.  The key to keeping the texture crisp is to not have your cloth too wet.  I pulled a strip of denim off an old pair of my son's jeans and used to tie my single bow.  A few dots of Chrome Silver Pearl pen gives my denim a little be-dazzled look.

But, my pocket wouldn't be complete unless it was a real pocket.  Using dimensional tape, I secured the pocket image to the front of my card along the edges so a small tag will fit inside.  I think it would make a great gift card holder, don't you?

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 221 - No Sponsor

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  I wasn't sponsored this week, so I pulled out some stamps that I'd yet to ink from There She Goes.

I fell in love with the poppy images in this set.  They are absolutely beautiful and a dream to color with copic markers.  It's easy to give them life!

Outlines Rubber Stamp Challenge # 23

This week our challenge was to create a card with Brown + Aqua + White.  Simple right?  I hope you'll create along with us this week!

Daisies

So, I think black-eyed susans can be white.  They are most often yellow, but yellow just won't work for this challenge.  I'm pretending they are daisies today.

I stamped the Black-Eyed Susan (H-196) image with Walnut Stain Distress ink and embossed with clear powder.  I lightly colored with copic markers in the negative space with teal colors.  Super simple!  And I can't wait to use this image with a bevy of colors!  It's beautifully detailed, isn't it?

I'd love it if you stopped by to visit the other designers for more inspiration.  And don't forget you can join in our fun!

CPS Sketch # 220 - Gina K Designs

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project!  This week's sponsor is Gina K Designs, and I selected a stamp set illustrated by the amazing Tami Mayberry.

Live Life Loud

I just love this set!  I think it's the perfect set for so many reasons... I made this card as a graduation card for my nephew, because I think he's great!

I embossed the image with clear embossing powder and used the Distress stains to fill in the blanks of my white cardstock.  I love the look!  One tip for you when using the Distress stains and embossed images... dry your cardstock from behind to keep the embossed areas from melting away.

Thanks for visiting,
